Today I wanted to write about Heqet, a kemetic goddess of fertility, birth, and floods.
She’s the wife of Khnum and the mother of Her-ur.
She was often combined with Hathor and was synchronized with the Greek goddess Hecate.
She is associated with frogs.
Her priestesses were trained midwives, people often wore frog amulets when giving birth in honor of her.
