Today for Pride Month I wanted to write about Lancelot du Lac, a major Arthurian figure said to be the greatest Knight of the Round Table.
Lancelot is a son of King Ban. However, after becoming an orphan, he was taken to the fairy world and was raised by Nimue. Lancelot married Elaine of Corbenic but had an affair with King Arthur‘s wife Guinevere, causing his exile from Avalon or a trial by combat. Lancelot also went on to have a love affair with Galehaut.
