Today I wanted to write about Intarabus, a Gaulish god often thought to be a tutelary deity of the area now consisting of Belgium, Luxembourg, as well as parts and France, and Germany; he may have more specifically been connected to a singular spring in the area. One writing by a Roman author suggests he may also be a war or fertility god.
He’s often depicted as a younger man without facial hair wearing a wolf’s skin.
He was in one writing synchronized with Mars.
His worship likely started out as being a tutelary deity of a spring but later spread to other Gaulish groups as a fertility god before being synchronized with Mars.
